WESTERN Pa. – Looking to bid on upcoming government solicitations, but need financing to cover the cost of materials and labor? Join the U.S. Small Business Administration’s (SBA) free March 10 contracting chat where an expert panel will help you learn about the types of funding available for contractors to meet short and long-term expenses.
“The federal marketplace is a great vehicle for small business owners to obtain new clients,” said SBA Western Pennsylvania District Director Dr. Kelly Hunt. “But, sometimes in order to compete for a contract, business owners need to finance both materials and direct labor. Our free chat will discuss the SBA’s loan packages available for contractors.”
The interactive, online chat session also addresses Lender Match, an SBA online site matching borrower with lenders -- sometimes in as little as two business days. “All attendees will learn about SBA’s MicroLoan and Express Loan programs,” added Hunt. “Our chat provides takeaways that participants can start using immediately.”
Panelists include SBA Business Opportunity Specialist Marisa Fentzel and Lender Relations Specialist Lynn Vozniak. The SBA’s Janet Heyl serves as host.
