WHY: Linda McMahon serves as the 25th administrator of the SBA and advocates on behalf of the 28 million small businesses in America. Their skills and creativity not only support their own families, they make neighborhoods vibrant places to live and work and fuel the state’s, and nation’s, economic strength. Small businesses are the engine of America’s economy and in the Pittsburgh area, 97.3 percent of the businesses are small.
Last year, SBA’s Pittsburgh District Office guaranteed more than $1.484M in loans contributing to the retention and creation of 1,319 jobs. Additionally, SBA assisted 8,115 clients through customized training events throughout the state.
