WASHINGTON – U.S. Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon announced the appointment of Todd Pauley as the Director of the SBA’s Office of Faith Based and Community Initiatives (FBCI). In this role, Pauley will work together with faith-based and community leaders and organizations, whose purpose is to encourage entrepreneurship, spur economic growth, seek to preserve free enterprise and further strengthen our economy. As director of FBCI, Pauley will support the mission of the SBA by building deeper connections, strengthening relationships and enhancing communications with these leaders and organizations, improving economic development and job creation.

These organizations are essential in empowering families and revitalizing communities. Pauley brings nearly two decades of federal and state political, legislative and legal experience to the post. In addition to serving as an advisor and aide to members of Congress from Oklahoma, he has provided public affairs, public policy, and fundraising support to nonprofits, higher education, as well as, faith-based and community organizations, including Belmont University in Nashville, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma and the Oklahoma Ethics and Religious Liberty Committee.
Pauley brings a history of community service to Washington. He has served in a gubernatorially appointed position as a commissioner on the Oklahoma Commission on Children and Youth responsible for developing or improving services to children and youth of the state and as a member of the board for the foundation of local area school districts, Putnam City and Piedmont. One experience Pauley is most proud of is having served as Chair of the Executive Committee for the Thunderbird Chapel at Camp Gruber. In this role, he provided leadership and support to the mission of making available the means and resources for the construction of a chapel at Camp Gruber, Oklahoma. The purpose of the chapel was to provide for more adequate counseling services and space for fostering spiritual fulfillment within members of the Oklahoma National Guard and the citizens of Oklahoma.
Pauley earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Belmont University and a juris doctor degree and certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution from Oklahoma City University School of Law.
