WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Linda E. McMahon released the following statement in response to the U.S. Labor Department’s October 2018 Jobs report that the economy added 250,000 jobs last month and the unemployment rate was 3.7 percent, the lowest since December 1969:

“Today’s job report exceeded expectations and is indicative of the many growth opportunities being created by a fast-growing economy. Under President Trump’s pro-business policies, our small businesses are utilizing the strong economic environment to hire more people, increase wages and benefits, and invest in the overall growth of their companies. These opportunities will continue to have a long-lasting and meaningful impact on our nation’s communities and households.”
