ATLANTA –

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today, that due to a steady decrease of activity, the Disaster Loan Outreach Centers located in Jacksonville, New Bern and Wilmington,

North Carolina

will cease operations on

Monday, Feb. 4

.

“I encourage anyone who has not completed their disaster loan application to visit any of the centers located throughout the disaster area before the closing to meet with a Customer Service Representative for one-on-one assistance,” said Kem Fleming, director of Disaster Field Operations Center East.

SBA’s Customer Service Representatives continue to operate at the temporary locations to answer program questions, assist in completing the SBA application and help with the reconsideration process.

The Centers are located and open as indicated below.


Craven County

Centenary United Methodist Church

New Bern, NC 28560

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Saturday, 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Closed: Sunday


New Hanover County

Old Independence Mall (Old Sears Store Location)

Wilmington, NC 28403

Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Saturday, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via the SBA’s secure website at
