Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Small Business Administration Administrator Linda E. McMahon released the following statement in response to the U.S. Labor Department’s August 2018 Jobs report that the economy added 201,000 jobs in August and the unemployment rate was 3.9 percent:

“Today’s report depicts just how positive an effect the President’s strong economic policies, particularly the tax cuts, are having on our nation’s businesses and households. Wages and benefits are rising, and more Americans are joining the workforce with good paying jobs. I meet with small business owners from around the country each week, and overwhelmingly I hear from them an appreciation for an Administration in Washington that is on their side, that listens to their concerns, and most importantly, that is successfully advancing policies conducive to small business growth and expansion.”
