The U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today due to a steady decrease in activity, that the Mobile Business Recovery Center (BRC) in

Monroe


County

located at the Greater Marathon Chamber of Commerce, 12222 Overseas Highway, Marathon, FL 33050 will cease operations on

Saturday, Nov. 4

at 6 p.m., close of business.  Businesses should visit the nearest mobile Center is indicated below.

Hours:  Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Closed:  Sundays

Businesses that sustained physical losses or economic injury due to Hurricane Irma are encouraged to submit an SBA disaster loan application.  SBA representatives at the Mobile Business Recovery Center (MBRC) can provide information about disaster loans, answer questions and help businesses in completing the SBA application.

“The SBA is committed to facilitating economic recovery in this disaster.  We want area businesses to have a resource where they can meet individually with SBA representatives and find out how a low-interest disaster loan can help them recover,” said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA’s Field Operations Center East in Atlanta.

To be considered for all forms of disaster assistance, applicants should register online at

or download the FEMA mobile app.  If online or mobile access is unavailable, applicants should call the FEMA toll-free helpline at 800-621-3362. Those who use

711-Relay or Video Relay Services should call 800-621-3362.
