WV 14749 - SBA Opens Business Recovery Center in Nicholas County, West Virginia

ATLANTA – The U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced today the opening of a Business Recovery Center (BRC) at the Summersville City Hall, Nicholas County on July 7 to help businesses impacted by the severe storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides that began on June 22, 2016.   Other Business Recovery Centers are already operating in Greenbrier and Kanawha counties.

These Centers are located as indicated below, until further notice:

“Businesses with physical damages or loss of revenue caused by the disaster should consider visiting the Centers and applying for an SBA disaster business loan.  SBA’s customer service representatives are on hand at the Centers to answer questions about the disaster loan program and assist business owners in completing their applications,” said Frank Skaggs, director of SBA’s Field Operations Center East in Atlanta.

The SBA offers low-interest, long-terms disaster loans for physical damage and working capital. To be considered for this assistance, survivors need to apply by the deadline.

Additional information on the disaster loan program may be obtained by calling SBA’s Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 (800-877-8339 for the deaf and hard-of-hearing) or by sending an email to disastercustomerservice@sba.gov .  Loan applications can be downloaded from www.sba.gov .  Applicants may apply online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela .

The filing deadline to return applications for physical property damage is Aug. 24, 2016 .  The deadline to return economic injury applications is March 27, 2017 .
