ATLANTA – The U. S. Small Business Administration has extended the deadline to Sept. 7, 2016 for disaster survivors to submit disaster loan applications for physical damages due to severe storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides in West Virginia.
The extension will allow the businesses, homeowners and renters additional time to submit their SBA disaster loan applications to get the help they need to recover from the disaster.
SBA disaster loans make recovery more affordable with rates as low as 4 percent for businesses, 2.625 percent for private non-profit organizations and 1.625 percent for homeowners and renters.
To be considered for all forms of disaster assistance, survivors may register online at DisasterAssistance.gov or by smart phone or tablet at m.fema.gov . Applicants may call 800-621-3362 or TTY users 800-462-7585.
Survivors referred by FEMA to the SBA may apply for a disaster loan online using the Electronic Loan Application (ELA) via SBA’s secure website at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela or visit a recovery center.
Located in Greenbrier, Kanawha and Nicholas counties, recovery centers are staffed with SBA’s Customer Service Representatives who provide one-on-one assistance to survivors in completing their applications.
