Attention, New Hampshire business owners! As we approach the end of the year, it’s time to tackle an important task: completing the Beneficial Ownership Information Report (BOIR) by the deadline of **December 31, 2024** to avoid any penalties. With the holidays around the corner, we want to help you get this done without the last-minute stress!

What’s the BOIR?
In simple terms, the BOIR is a report that requires many businesses in the U.S. to share information about who actually owns or controls them. This requirement comes from the **Corporate Transparency Act**, passed by Congress in 2021 to help prevent illegal financial activities. The goal is to make it harder for bad actors to hide behind anonymous companies.

Why Attend?
- Deadline Reminder! With the busy holiday season approaching, now is the perfect time to get your BOIR done.
- Expert Guidance! Friendly attorneys from Sulloway & Hollis will be on-site to help you fill out the form and answer any questions about filing your BOIR. For those who are about to register their business with the Secretary of State NH can also get the BOIR done at the same time!
-Accountability! If you don't need guidance but need to schedule getting it done in your calendar. Join a group of supportive entrepreneurs in person and check that to do list box complete!
-A Supportive Environment! We know some of you might be feeling a little overwhelmed (procrastination happens to the best of us!), so we’re here to make the process as easy and enjoyable as possible.

Can't Attend in Person But Need Help? We are making this a hybrid event so you can still get help that night on zoom! (North Country, Lakes and Seacoast we see you!)

What to Bring:
Please bring your laptop! If you don’t have one, just reach out to us ahead of time at info.newhampshire@cweonline.org so we can see if there are any accomodations we can make to support you.
You will also need to access to your business information as well.

Important Note: This workshop is for New Hampshire businesses only. If you’re located outside the state, please reach out to your local Women’s Business Center for assistance.
