Bolt Coffee Company

Bryan Gibb opened Bolt Coffee Company in 2012. By 2018 he was ready to grow but needed capital to do so.

Gibb purchased a coffee roaster using an equipment loan from BankRI, and establish a line of credit also. “This financing was important because it allowed us to use our cash on hand instead of tying it all up in equipment and inventory,” says Gibb. Bolt Coffee is developing relationships at coffee farms to provide equity throughout the supply chain, and the company is able to roast for themselves and for wholesale customers.

The success of both the Dean Hotel and RISD locations has allowed Gibb and his partners to start another business; Knead Doughnuts. They continue to dedicate themselves to their craft and soon hope to open more retail outlets with a focus on hospitality and building space for community.
