Mr. Sempertegui has been selected to serve as the Deputy General Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel, of the U.S. Small Business Administration. In this role, Mr. Sempertegui will work to plan, direct and administer the operations of the Office of General Counsel, provide legal and technical direction to the staff and report to the General Counsel.

Prior to this role, Mr. Sempertegui was Assistant General Counsel and Senior Vice President at Bank of America, N.A.  Mr. Sempertegui previously served as Director of Licensing for the State of Maryland's Office of the Commissioner of Financial Regulation and as a civil litigation associate at Carr Maloney PC.  Mr. Sempertegui, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, began his legal career as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Maurice A. Ross, Associate Judge at the Superior Court of the District of Columbia.

In addition to his experience, Mr. Sempertegui earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance at the University of Maryland, a Masters in Business Administration at the Johns Hopkins University, and his Juris Doctorate from American University, Washington College of Law.
