SBA HONORS RAY THOMPSON OF SUPPYSOURCE, INC

Williamsport -  Williamsport, Pa. – Ray Thompson, founder and president of SupplySource, Inc. was honored as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2007 Minority Small Business Person of the Year award winner for Eastern Pennsylvania. 

Each year since 1983, the President has designated National Minority Business Development Week, to recognize minority small business excellence and honor those who support minority business development.

The SBA recognized the Williamsport entrepreneur’s success as a minority small business owner in the competitive office services and furnishings industry. He received the Philadelphia District award during a ceremony at SupplySource’s corporate headquarters located at 415 West Third Street, Williamsport, Pa.

SupplySource was incorporated in 1984 and has grown to 80 employees. They specialize in office services and furnishings.  SupplySource’s current clients include federal and state government agencies and major
universities.

“Mr. Thompson epitomizes the true entrepreneurial spirit that exists throughout our country,” said Stephanie Watkins, Region III Regional Administrator. “We are proud to recognize him as an outstanding minority-owned small business.”
