Purchasing real estate, whether it is a consumer or business rental property or an investment property that you are going to fix up and sell, should be viewed with the same perspective as someone buying or starting a traditional business. It requires careful upfront research, a strategic business plan, executional timeline, budget and financing and many other considerations. The purpose of this workshop is to share some insights on real estate as a business including how to evaluate what type of real estate business is best for you, how to evaluate an opportunity before starting the purchase process, understanding what it will take to get up and running, financing options, tax consideration, and developing a business plan. Real estate businesses require the same careful research and planning as traditional businesses but can also offer profitable short and long-term returns if executed with insight and knowledge.
