    Chief Counsel for Advocacy Thomas M. Sullivan today announced that he will step down as head of the Office of Advocacy of the U.S. Small Business Administration. Sullivan will conclude his current government service on October 24, 2008.

    Chief Counsel for Advocacy Thomas M. Sullivan commended Representative Charles Gonzalez (D-TX) for introducing the Home Office Tax Deduction Simplification and Improvement Act (H.R. 7074). The bill will simplify the home office deduction by introducing a standard deduction for small business owners.
